UpRight's 'Spandeck' access system has played a vital role in the installation of roof metal and translucent sheeting to the new Canal End stand at Dublin's Croke Park, headquarters of the Gaelic Athletic Association, the project client.
UpRight distributor and access tower specialist, F.A.S.T. Scaffolds, consulted on and supplied the Spandeck decking for the main contractor, John Sisk and Son, who used it to stage cladding of the 35m high stadium roof. Just completed, the £26 million stand, designed by architects, Gilroy McMahon, is part of major redevelopment of the site into a 79,000 - seater stadium by 2001. The Spandeck contract was carried out by O.C. Access Specialists on behalf of John Sisk and Son.
Extremely lightweight, durable and strong, the Spandeck solution met the project needs for an access system requiring minimum support points and providing maximum unobstructed work deck for installation of Perspex and profiled metal roof sheeting.
